Kimberly writes fiction for children and teens and her Young Adult novel (Touching the Surface—Simon Pulse, Simon & Schuster) was the 2016 Alice Curtis Desmond Award winner. Kimberly regularly volunteers at Butterfield Library, mentoring readers and coaching the middle-grade and young adult Mid-Hudson Battle of the Books teams. She is also the former NY: Eastern Upstate Co-Assistant Regional Advisor for the SCBWI and continues to be a local volunteer. Kimberly has an M.A. in Special Education and proudly takes credit for keeping three boys alive into legal adulthood. While Kimberly lives in New York’s Hudson Valley with her husband, she is spending more time in New York City and is delighted to explore all the bookish things the Big Apple offers. She’s represented by Michelle Wolfson of Wolfson Literary Agency and adores being part of the Wolfpack. Kimberly’s favorite pastime—besides eating chocolate ice cream—is finding her spark and sharing what she discovers.
